That is a fallacy known as argument from popularity. Just because something is believed in by the majority, doesn't make it any more likely to be true.
Remember, at one time the majority of humanity believed in a flat earth.
There are 1.5 billion Muslims. Does that make Islam 75% as correct as Christianity? When Islam becomes the biggest religion on the planet, will that make it the true one?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
