Love it. Paradigm shift....
A few years ago I was working near and with the executive level of a multinational corporation. The business speak was noxious. Different phrases would be in vogue for a time; I could always tell when a new popular, and meaningless, business book was making the rounds.
At one point the phrase paradigm shift was making the rounds. This is when I started carrying two dimes on me at all times. When someone would drop 'paradigm shift' into a sentence where the word 'change' should have been, I would pull out my change at start raking my dimes back and forth across the table. Finally someone challenged my rudeness at which point I politely unloaded my disdain for fluffy meaningless language; people quickly stopped using paradigm shift.
'Harmonizing data' was another incompetence shielding bit of verbal refuse that I shit on. This was a euphamism for "I have no fucking idea what the data is telling us".
I also distinctly remember having to consciously prevent myself from hurling my chair when I first hear the expression 'delight customers'.
I digress. Cool list, I'm saving it.
