JL1, be the rational person and think about it, for once.

If you reach the conclusion that god is a distinct possibility and prefer to believe in it, then so be it.
If you remain in doubt... keep thinking.
If you reach the conclusion that nothing hints to a real god as described by the religious, then you will have become an atheist.

Whatever path you choose, we'll be here to try to knock some sense into your head!
