I went that forum and and began reading. They began with dire warnings about not running combofix without expert guidance,so I didn't.
They also had a complicated tutorial,with a bunch stuff to download.
I struck a snag right from the beginning. They tell you to download the shit to your desktop,and rename it.My downloads go a folder, and I've forgotten how to change the location,and it doesn't give you the option of changing the name,only to save or open the file. If I change the name after the download the name after the download, I can't open the file.
I'm currently running a McAfee Rootkit fixer,but a repair install is beginning to look very attractive.
