He doesn't like me "like that." He is concerned I've made a grave error in "turning my back" on God. As a former Christian, I understand his piety for lack of a better word.
As much as I try to see where it comes from, it's one of the tenets of Christianity, perhaps religion in general, that irks me. Worried about the after life and "saving souls," etc.
Coming to where I'm at now and feeling comfortable with an atheistic stance, I don't understand why a person's belief or disbelief in a god, determine "my" eternity? If a god exists, why would he wish to make "finding" him so hard?
And I don't want to hear a pantheistic reply..."well, we can see god in the universe, with a capital U."
I've heard it all as we all have. If a god is real, why does he hide?
