What part of "sacrificing an immortal being is not a sacrifice" don't you understand? That's like me sacrificing my character on Halo to save a team mate and then respawning.

So being beaten to bloody pulp in from a mocking crowd, having your brow impaled by thorns, hanging suspended in the air as your flesh shreds till you suffocate...

Jesus could have lived a life of ease making chairs in a one horse town. Instead he loved you enough to put himself through all that agony.

And you have the gaul to say He didn't make a sacrifice because He resurrected.

I, for one, do; seeing as he supposedly came back from the dead. Sorry, but if you get a Newgame+ I don't consider that to be sacrificial, I consider it a bad week.

If it happened, it didn't mean squat. It's still sending yourself down to sacrifice yourself to yourself to save people from something you made because of a curse you put on them for petty reasons.

You did not learn the basics when you attended church did you. Christ was not sacrificed to God, He was sacrificed for man to cover the sin of those who believe in Him. God did not create sin, that accomplishment goes to Lucifer and Adam. The curse was for disobeying the God who gave them life, He loved them even before He created them. Sin is grievous not petty. Of coarse you can't understand this because you have no respect for the God who gave you life because He loved you.

It seems that you are not as well versed in scripture as you claim to be GC, since Christ was sacrificed for the sins of all mankind like the Jewish scapegoat was for the sins of the Jew then he was sacrificed to god. If God created free will then he created the possibility for sin, same damn thing. Your god is omniscient right? Eating a fruit from a forbidden tree that god placed there knowing ahead of time that they would eat from it no matter his warning is called a fucking set-up, so I agree that it isn't petty, it's underhanded. Course*.

No innocent should ever pay for the crimes of the guilty. No one should be found guilty without fair trial.

No one is innocent, all have sinned and fallen short of the will of God. God will try all who do not accept what Christ did for mankind, so don't worry you will get a trial if you do not change your belief, so stop complaining. God will open the books and address every sin one commits before He passes judgement.

Children are innocent. Will he try those who never heard about "the good news" or those that were indoctrinated by other religions from a small age?

No guilty person should ever be punished beyond their crime. This is what justice is. It is not condemning someone for something someone else did, without trial, and punished with an eternity of suffering. Which is what mainstream christians believe.

No one will be punished beyond their crimes. One who sins against God sins against an Eternal Being and without forgiveness of the sins they continue for all eternity. An eternal punishment is exactly what's called for when committing sin that unforgiven last an eternity. This is what justice is about when one faces the eternal God who gave you your life. Mainstream Christianity believe this because the Bible teaches this.

You have a twisted sense of justice GC, finite sin does not call for infinite punishment.

What he did was immoral, and served no purpose other than to entertain him. He lost nothing substantial that I can tell.

You can't see because you have decided that living life your way is the only way. Christ did nothing immoral and what He did served a purpose for me, and I gladly accept the love He offered by doing what He came to accomplish.
