So why does a foetus have that right? You claim they are people but you are in fact giving them more rights than people. No one has a right to life at the expense of someone else, unless that someone else is willing.

It's always explained in those instances. Doctors weigh up the risks and inform the parents. As far as I'm concerned, in this instance, the life of a living, breathing person - the mother - has precedence over that of the child - especially if the child is not at the age of viability.
