Human slaves aren't... human...? Humans have throughout history had areas lacking in the 'freeness' o their speech... are you telling me they weren't humans?
I'm not saying they weren't human at all, they had their rights infringed in many horrible ways, they were still human but they lost some of the parts that made them human, namely their 'voice'.
They were oppressed and had some of the Freedoms we take for granted taken away, in my opinion they lost their humanity and became nothing more than Androids but they were still biologically human.
I don't think they lost anything that makes them human. Having a voice is a 'bonus' as I see it... a vital bonus for individuality... but a bonus nonetheless for humanity. We could just as easily function as a 'hive'.
Why should there be any more required than one be human to be a part of humanity?
