Yeah... some do exercise because it makes them more alive, but some exercise because they're obsessed with buying more time. There are a ton of people who exercise because of the fountain of youth it gives them.
I've always heard that lowering one's weight and reducing calorie intake can reduce one's lifespan by a huge abount-- like several years on average. I'm curious if this study is comparing people OF THE SAME WEIGHT who jog a lot/exercise moderately. Because if you look at the US, I find it very hard to belief that a dedicated jogger will die younger than a 300-lb Dorito-eater.
