I go back now to what Alex Jamieson said on the subject which is that the very meaning of veganism has changed from when she became a vegan originally, and is now centred around a political view not a health-conscious view, and that while some people do great on a vegan diet, others do not.
Being that veganism is an extreme diet (vegans are excluding two out of the five major food groups entirely - that's extreme) it's not sensible or moral to tell people that if they eat that way that it will be the best way to eat for them, but if they want to give it a go, try and see if it works for them then that's fine too.
If your answer for Harvey's case is "piss poor nutrition information" then 1. how does that explain him getting sick from the age of seven? And 2. - this is the really important one - what specifically did he do wrong? He has provided ample information about his vegan diet in his videos, so I wouldn't suggest harassing him to give you further details, however, if he did something wrong with the way he ate then you have to be specific and let us know what it was?
I am not his doctor, if she was seeing his doctor, I already found his major issue. Ever wonder how much Nutritional Science a doctor receives? Almost none, which is why there are nutritionists.
Let me break this video down into RED FLAGS. Keep in mind this is my perspective and again is open game.
1. 55 seconds in he/she? he mentioned doctors, that is a huge problem. I am starting here because I nor hopefully you would go to your optometrist for gastrological issue or question, so why go to a Medical Doctor who studies Medicine to answer your Nutritional needs, most people do not understand, but Doctors have little to no training or education in nutrition or Nutritional Science.
Yes I get you were raised vegetarian but that in no way means you are raised and educated on what the body needs and know where to get it.
Most Americans are still so uneducated in nutrition they still believe that b12 can only be found in meat or supplements!
Where may I ask did you pull 35% it is such a low number, the number the schools and even government are putting out are much higher?
