I respect freedom of speech, I believe every forum should have a basis in it, but freedom of speech does not mean you can say everything anytime on a forum. It means you can say everything you want on the occasion that fits the act of it being said. In other words, you cannot just randomly spew the same arguments again and again when they have been refuted earlier, nor can you simply reject arguments being made by people just because they fly in the face of your beliefs. You must respond to them in a decent manner, or you must ignore them and walk away from the discussion. We keep disagreeing on the free speech matter Adrian (which is OK by me). Can the refutation of arguments be validated objectively? Do some posting on a theist forum and you'll know. And decency is a rather soft criterion. All those left here must be really decent girls and boys then? Have we responded decent each time? By whose definition?
The Raymond trick is another thing. That impostering can be validated separate from the content of his speech. And that imo is indeed a reason to ban.
