Metal gear solid 4 almost brought me to tears in the part where he goes back to shadow moses again and he has flashbacks to MGS1 and it made me have flashbacks of being in secondary school and playing MGS1 with my friends.

Yep, thats that real shit. Had me freaking out going "Oh shit, oh shit" when you see shadow moses brought to life in the 21st centuary. The music that plays when you first get there by the heliport. Wow, the nostalgia. They made the base 95% just like it was in MGS1. MGS4 is truly one for the fans.

I remember a sales person at a games shop telling a guy that he didn't have to have played the others. I was thinking "What the fuck?" You at least need to have played MGS1 because it pretty much hinges on it. Thats where you meet Liquid Snake for the first time. How else are you gonna make sense of the flash backs? How you supposed to make sense of the tension between Snake and Meryl? Remember when Snake says to Otacon "...and Meryl all grown up. She's a lot more sure of herself." There the players are supposed to contrast the new Meryl to the old green rookie. She ain't green no more!

The voice actors do such a fantastic job in MGS4. They pull off their characters' older voices so well. Go onto youtube and watch some vids of MGS1 and switch to MGS4. Bravo team!
