Funny story: I was one of those people that used to say it was boring. I still remember arguing with a friend of mine that the Splinter Cell series were better games. I deeply repent of my sinful ways. You see when I was a kid I didn't really care much for the storyline of even movies. Now that I'm older it's become everything. I even watch anime because the storylines are amazing. I watch these things to see if there's a pattern or formula to creativity. I haven't found one yet.

With MGS, the dense storyline is intimidating especially to casual players.

I harken it to "A Song of Ice and Fire," the Game of Thrones series. The fact that GRRM and Kojima can keep the canon straight is amazing to me, and I can't wait to see what's next. And sneaking/espionage gameplay is fantastic! So much more tension when you have to sneak than just plowing your way through the game.

It's the keeping true of the storyline that's just mind boggling. When I found out that he didn't even intend on making MGS4, I flipped. It all ties in so perfectly.

I love the thrill of passing an area unnoticed. Makes you feel like you're an expert and that you can do it in real life. Or is that just? meThinking

Well I've seen a little bit of MGSV and I must say that I'm disappointed that Richard Doyle isn't doing the voice of Big Boss as he does in MGSIV. I know the role of Big Boss has a little confusion associated to it because in MGSIII David Hayter does the voice. He's also the voice of Solid Snake. I guess I was hoping that MGSIV was the straightening out of things. Then Kiefer Sutherland steps in I think. Could be a marketing thing trying to ride the success of the 24 series. I don't know.
