Faith is pretending to know things you don't actually know. If you actually had evidence for something, you wouldn't need faith. Faith as a "way of knowing" is utter bullshit. The trick con men have used for centuries to trick the gullible into accepting a premise without any evidence or basis in reality.
So, rewording your last sentence - "Everything I do requires pretending to know things I don't actually know for us to function as a society."
