I saw a video where the comedian supposedly "destroyed atheism with one question.". That question was "If you don't believe he exists, why does he offend you?". Of course then all we have to do is mention things like the crusades, inquisition, witch hunts, and the decay of the first secular country in recent history (USA). If not the first secular country period.
When you have a book that explicitly tells you to kill people that don't worship your god, there are going to be problems. Sure Jesus said to love your neighbor, and even your enemy. He also said to drown people that lead others away from christianity.
