Maybe someday neuroscience will have some answers. I'd love to get my hands on a biology textbook that will be written 1,000 years from now.
So, why might you not have "experienced reality" from my perspective at that moment? I can think of at least one reason - you're not attached to -my- ears, and -I- am. Clearly may not be the only reason...we could probably think of a few more if we rubbed our heads together.
