Well I don't know why, but I don't see any reason for you to blame yourself personally.
The reasons women couldn't vote in any country and still can't in some is because... Duh they're women! They should be controlled by man and do housewife tasks, they don't have to put their noses in politics... They were and still are seen as the inferior weaker sex with no saying, and religion as an influence on it (*Notice the sarcasm)
