You can't marry someone without living together, so we'll wait. And a marriage is expensive by the way, for now I must focus on my studies and excelling as much as possible. B sides the difficulty to find a job, I really can't afford to waste time working because studying occupies most of my time. Sure I could pass all classes while working, but it would be unlikely for me to excel, and excelling raises my chances of having a good job and fulfilling my dreams, I guess I'm lucky my parents are middle class and the government pays my education, 1000€ a year in public college.
The marriage itself isn't expensive (~50~100€). On that front, getting a divorce is more expensive! (~250€)
It's the "party" afterwards and all the fancy costumes people wear at these venues that make it expensive. Also, the honey-moon raises the expense bar a bit.
If you and your girlfriend can skip with these silly things, it's bearable.
Still, it's smart that you guys wait... let your parents keep paying for your stuff!
College is still "only" 1000€ per year? nice...
I knew it had risen after I left, but I thought it went higher.
Back in my days, it was only about 350€ per year!
