One of my Anthropolgy professors did his field work in Highland New Guinea,among former (?) cannibals.
He recounted this conversation with a local:
Prof: "Do you you eat the liver,heart etc of a person to gain their courage or other qualities?"
Local (patiently,as if speaking to a rather dim child): "If I eat a bird,will I be able to fly?"
Prof "Then why do you eat people?"
Local (patiently again) "Because they taste good"

Two cannibals are eating a clown,one says to the other:
"Does this taste funny to you?"
