Well as you said his character is not consistent throughout the Bible (I wonder if maybe he was written by different humans Tongue) but I imagine that plenty of people will write Campbell-style myths surrounding him as Christianity falls from its pedestal in this country. And I like heroes who fail (at least temporarily) because it feels much better when they snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
