This.. brought a tear to my eye and made me want to hug you so much..
I can't imagine how you survived that but you have my sympathies as well.
My fiancee (at the time) couldn't handle the thought of me being ill. I lost everything too, due to illness. My family picked me up off the floor of my beautiful apartment and I just never returned to my Chemistry degree. I lost my job and car and credit in less than a few months. Luckily my mum let me bum her couch (okay be bedbound to her couch) for six months in order to qualify. In the end it was the fact that I needed life saving treatments, to get me in.
I don't know what's wrong with this country but I do highly doubt that parts of it aren't third world level. I used to think America was the greatest nation in the land. Now I'm quickly realizing that that notion is a joke. Yet another bullshit lie fed at church, to behonest. Some would say I'm unamerican, but that's not the case. I'm realistic. I love my country. I would even fight for my country. But fuck if it doesn't need a cold hard splash of 'wake the fuck up'.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
