Is atheism false? Well what do you mean by false?
Atheism can be explained quite well using the gum ball analogy.
Jack: "Hey I got a jar of gum balls in my room. Agree with me that the number of gum balls inside are either even or odd."
Nick: " Yes, that's true."
Jack: "I'm telling you that they're even."
Nick: "I don't believe you."
Jack: "So are you saying they're odd?"
Nick: "No, I'm saying I don't believe your claim of them being even. I am not making a counter claim for them being odd."
That is what atheism is. It is a rejection of theistic claims. It is not a counter claim that there are no gods. This is because atheism assumes the null hypothesis. The null hypothesis cannot be proven. You can either reject the null hypothesis or fail to reject it. It is the default position on matters when one makes a claim. That is atheism.
That is not the claim of atheism.

That is not the claim of atheism.
8000 years before Jesus, the Egyptian god Horus said, "I am the way, the truth, the life."
