As a whole, from my personal experience, I would say that atheists are generally more moral the theists.
I've encountered many theists who have stated that if there wasn't a god (in their belief) and a fear of going to hell they'd likely be out raping and murdering.
Isn't it scary that the only thing keeping many of them in check is the belief in an imaginary being and fear of eternal punishment, instead of basic decency and empathy for their fellow humans . . .
