Your assertion that there ghosts are not the souls of dead people because the world would be infested with ghosts if they were is wrong. How do you know that the world isn't infested but we are only able to detect them under an extremely rare set of conditions?
My point is that you are asserting causes for and against something that you have zero evidence even exists. I'm someone who has seen paranormal things multiple times in my past when I was part of the local ghost hunting group, but I don't think the things I saw were anything other than psychological / biological phenomena in my brain.
Exactly, I agree with you that most cases of "ghosts" are actually other events or rather phenomena affecting the area. This includes a psychological placebo effect.
Now, let's go biblical on this. Here is the contradiction:
Paul clearly makes statements which eliminates the possibility of any GHOSTS - 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18 and ACTS 2:29-34.
While the Old Testament says, Ghosts could be from previous living beings: (1st Samuel 28:3-15).
When Paul is speaking in the New Testament(1st Corinthians 11:25) it replaces the Old Testament as final say in the matters of death. Paul's word is an extension of a "Divine Command".
So, these verses contradict each other and even if we are to accept the New Testament then GHOSTS are not previously living beings.
Now, what is being witnessed by everyone are not GHOSTS but rather another phenomena. Possibly belonging in the previous categories described: ET cloaking, Government cloaking, etc.
Conclusions: The Bible contains errors and Ghosts do not exist but are actually misidentified phenomena.
