The latest Doctor who episode, it was fucking awful, it was even worse than that one where they took the kids to that space amusement park with the cyber men.
Firstly, the actors were all terrible, apart from Ben Miller, but even he wasn't up to his usual standard because the writers were so bad. I know its a ridiculous sci-fi show but the characters weren't believable at all.
And the physics in the show, what the fuck?!?! The writers just went: Fuck it, lets have the Doctor having a sword fight with Robin Hood, but lets give the doctor a spoon. What the actual fuck?!!? You cannot parry a fucking sword with a spoon. You just can't. I realise that physics in this show has to be flexible but just no.... You can get away with it when they're doing black holes or time space vortex's, you know, stuff we don't actually know for sure. But basic physics! You have to get that right.
And another awful part, at the end they fire an arrow made of solid gold, from a standard long bow, into a launching space ship that was at least 300 metres away and 100 metres above the ground. What the fuck has happened to the writers? A solid gold arrow would weigh far too much to even attempt to fire it from a bow. It wouldn't fly straight, it would drop to the ground after a few feet. Again, basic physics!
And they had this terrible thing where the doctor and robin have this rivalry going on and are constantly challenging each other. They try to make it funny but it just isn't at all. And what's worse is they're trying to make Capaldi a kind of fun, joking around doctor like matt smith. And he just can't pull it off, he looks like a grumpy old man, and I think it would suit him better if he played the character like one.
I remember when this show used to mean something. When I look back at the Christopher Eccelston and David Tennant episodes, they had meaning and emotion and funny parts and sad parts, but this series it has none of that. Even Matt Smith's Doctor (who was much less serious than the others) had parts that made you feel. Remember the Van Gogh episode, where he takes him into the gallery and gets Bill Nighy to describe how good he was. And then there was Amy and Rory and how they left, the whole weeping angels thing.
The only thing that made me feel in these 3 new episodes was when Matt Smiths doctor called from the past in Trenselor.
If you can't tell, I am incredibly saddened and pissed off by how bad this series has been. I'm giving Capaldi the benefit of the doubt because I didn't like any of the doctors to start with but I grew to love them. It's definitely the writers faults.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech
