Welcome, but I can't see you as a middle man. You sure aren't atheist, but you don't recognize organized religion. Falling between two stools is more like it. I don't see any evidence of you higher power, therefore I don't believe in it. Religious folks adamantly believe in something rather more specific.
I don't believe in the human spirit either, at least not if you mean something like a soul. We are here. We are important to ourselves and each other. But I don't think we exist outside our physicality.
I do have a question though. In what way does your higher power change the way we should live or view the universe?
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
