I'm just back from visiting Victoria. I always find Canadians more friendly than people in the U.S. Victorians seem to be trying to out English the English (it's like visiting a 1950 English novel) but I don't find that true of the rest of Canada.
Food, wine, and beer choices in Canada are never as good as their counterparts just across the boarder. If you want to drink micro brew and eat well stay in Seattle. Not that food in Victoria was bad, it's just that it was no where near as good. Haven't done it recently, but the Vancouver Seattle comparison was similar.
Somehow though Canadians produce way more than their fair share of actors, novelists and musicians. Maybe it has something to do with long cold winters or that better educational system?
Canadians know what's happening politically and socially in the U.S. Here we haven't a clue what's going on in Canada.

If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
