My significant other married an Iranian Muslim about 15 years senior to her right out of high school. They moved to Iran around 82ish and she spent most of the mid 80s living there. Shortly after finding out she was pregnant she got on a plane and headed home and divorced him. She had no desire to raise a child in that environment.

Today she is an atheist with a very low opinion of Islam and her ex husband. Results may vary.
