Try it this way - if you DON'T charge teens with a crime for sharking, how the fuck are they supposed to get on in the adult world?

I'm not a big fan of the slippery slope argument, but punishment is part of the learning curve one needs to become an adult.

Am I the only one in this forum who made pranks and mistakes in his youth and enjoyed them, regret them and therefor learn to show more empathy to teenagers since I know from personal experience how confusing, exiting and those years were?

But at a certain point "I'm young!" is no longer a mitigating factor.

Different people mature at a different rhythm so assuming that a certain age every person should be treated was an adult an therefor that goes for anyone is silly. So imparting a fair justice to all teens is impossible but apparently being more understanding and tolerable with them is a sin around here.

It's assault. It's a major invasion of privacy. Since we're talking about publshing footage of naked - teenage - girls on the internet it's childs porn. I'm at a loss how somebody could call this a 'prank'. What's next? Prank rapes?

I was bullied a lot AND I MEAN A LOT! when I was a child. So I can understand how traumatic this must be for the victim. But I'm not gonna sent a kid to prison just because of a prank. I move on I know that a kind doing a prank isn't a potential rapist.
Besides, what you think that a teen criminal don't have feelings as well? That a teen criminal can't be confused? That if we don't punish the they won't feel empathy at all? They are still human being. And not only human being but teenagers(no seriously I feel sorry for your kids, if they ever make mistake I hope the have a bunch of loyal friend because with parents like you I will be traumatic for me growing up knowing that if I screw something up my family it's gonna crucify me, and I will hate them for that).

A great deal of people who want justice in the world what they really want is to get even with the world. And the clearest proof of that they are not willing to accept the punishment and repentance are two totally different concepts. Or that one can't happen without the other.
