I chose this song because I believe it has a very important and relevant subject matter. In my view, it's essentially a showcase of the holocaust, highlighting what can happen when totalitarian dictatorships allow psychopaths free reign.
The lyrics are supposed to be horrific, to give you a sense of what actually happened to those the Nazis deemed inferior. I think it also says quite a bit about human nature, and how downright brutal we can be to each other. I'm not just talking about Josef Mengele here (the Nazi the song is about), but about all the people who enabled these abominations to occur.

And the fact that crimes of this nature still occur to this day says we clearly haven't learned, and probably never will. (unless people keep highlighting it, as Slayer is doing.)

I also respect Slayer for having the balls to write songs like this that have dark subject matters that other artists skirt around, or simply ignore, choosing instead to write about trivial drivel. Especially when this song is often misconstrued as being in support of Neo Nazism.
