My thoughts exactly, so why would someone surrender their lives for that? In The great state of FL not only do we have a stand your ground law, we have a defend your home law as well. Meaning anyone who is in your house that you did not invite, also forfeits their life/you are allowed to shoot no questions asked.
I wasn't sure if a locked screened in enclosure counted or not. Either way the cop was sloppy in his approach, and should have been focused on the task at hand rather than sizing up my propane tank. Maybe we both learned a lesson that night.
