Do you think any rational person who has examined republican positions really believe the republicans want people to go hungry, or get paid pennies an hour, or not have access to health care?

Their policies certainly make it look like they don't care.

When you have policies that are supposed to stop abuse in welfare spending but actually prevent people that really do need the help from getting it all the while not making a peep about all of the wasted billions spent on useless planes and bombs that just sit in warehouses, your priorities don't appear to be the people.
