There have been reports from Sydney, my home town, of people in Muslim/Islamist garb knocking on peoples' doors in some suburbs asking if there are any members of the military living there.

This came out after the ISIS extremist group called for the murders of people in various countries, including Australia, and after our security services broke up a plot to murder random Australians on our streets. My brother's in the army, so if these door knockers truly were extremists prepared to carry out the attacks then families of people in the services are probably wise to lock their doors.

Yes, Islamists is better than "Muslims". What is more better is to describe them for whom they really are : "TERRORISTS", or more accurately "isis supporters".
