Resorting to severe measures such as castration (or death penalty) is not going to undo what they did to their victims, and all this does is continue to encourage a sense of barbarity that we (as civilized people) should've gone away with a long time ago.
You could say forcing someone in a prison for life is barbaric, there is no non barbaric civilized solution to the situation, you can't have a nice evening of chatting with the rapist at his house over tea and biscuits to come to a workable solution.
Whatever the solution is it's going to be barbaric.
I think in extreme situations the best barbaric punishment would be the death penalty.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
