I agree. But that abuse didn't magically pop out of nowhere. If your mindset is "no rules", "No regulations" and you ignore economic stability, you set the conditions to the point where people will do what they have to to survive, compound that with a gun industry that pumps guns out like candy, seems a bit absurd to expect law enforcement to use squirt guns when Tea Party nuts murder cops with guns.
This is the sick fear crap the NRA corporate lobby group uses to pit society against law enforcement. Daffy Duck is pitting the beagle against Fog Horn. Gun makers and weapons factories sell to BOTH government and civilians. That fear coming from both civilians and law enforcement is great for gun sales.
And even with military contractors. Law enforcement fears not being able to combat an armed public, "poof" the heavy weapon vehicle private factories pump out more vehicles the military says it does not need, in turn the military sells it's surplus to law enforcement.
Follow the money. Follow the greed. Big business pits everyone against each other, and while we are busy fighting each other, they keep getting richer.
