I read it was 153 feet away from the squad car. But the thing you need to realize is Wilson was not in the squad car when he shot Brown. Wilson was outside the squad car. Since Wilson was outside the squad car his distance from Brown is not the same distance as it would have been in Wilson were inside the squad car. Wilson could have moved away from his squad car and closer to Brown or Wilson could could have moved away from his squad car and further away from Brown. The location of the spent shell casings would.
Really if you want to determine about how far away Wilson was from Brown, you have to look at the location of the spent shell casings from Wilson's gun and not the location of the squad car. The location of the sqaud car in relation to Brown's body doesn't really tell us much how far away Wilson and Brown were from each other when Brown died.
