Only the progressives would mandate that everyone...by virtue of being born...be required by law to buy the product of their corporate fat cat buddies. The problem with your first statement is that you've assumed I think the Affordable Care Act is the best thing ever. It isn't. Real progressives want single-payer. That wasn't going to happen. And you're right, corporations are going to pour huge sums of money into greedy lawmaker pockets, and that's even easier now since corporations are "people", thanks to the right's victory with Citizens United. Conservatives open up the door for an unprecedented, unchecked level of corporate money in politics and then you complain about said money? Sounds hypocritical to me.
Now that this precedent is set....how many other corporations are going to be pouring astronomical amounts of money toward lobbying congress to mandate laws that their products get the same treatment.
You progressives gave the government all the power and then you bitch when people try to take advantage of that concentrated power. Your utter stupidity makes me sick.
Single payer wasn't going to happen with the democrat leadership whipping against it when Sanders was going to propose his amendment. You progressives got sold out by the people you vote for.
Regarding Citizens United....watch this:
