Smart says those words rang in her memory. She felt ruined.
This is from the same article in the link.
Like I said not all parts of the program work well mostly because teachers get over zealous in their teachings, which is unfortunate.
One thing I see out of atheist, they will jump on an issue that comes up in Christianity and run Christians down. They never explore all the good that comes from many Christian programs, hatred of a people is a very bad thing, we try to do what's best for our families just like most others.

There is not a single Christian programme (or indeed religious programme) out there that produces results that can't be done by a purely secular organisation. With no indoctrination and no guilt tripping.
This programme is a perfect example of child abuse because it's telling children (emphasis on telling, more like preaching) that a perfectly natural desire/urge is unnatural and evil. As others have said, when this is reinforced to children they automatically feel guilty for being 'normal' (you cannot erase a teenage boy's automatic erection when he sees a girl he fancies), which seriously fucks up their brain chemistry and how they relate to people when the programme deems the old enough to make their own decisions.
It's abuse because it hasn't imparted them with the ability to make those decisions in the first place.
And please, for once in your life, stop playing the fucking persecution card. Your beliefs are fucking retarded, true, as are the beliefs of those in that stupid fucking purity programme. But us calling you out on those stupid beliefs is not fucking persecution. It's that reality thing which a lot of the God squad seem completely unprepared for, probably because they had some dickhead like the guy who started this programme telling them that having natural desires and urges is somehow wrong and will condemn them a firey pit.
