RE: Mathematical claims of 'Bible Codes'...is there any truth in the maths?

It's looking unlikely that these 'codes' are anything other than random occurrences. I agree about the 'money' issue Kyu. I don't think people should profit from 'God' if that is what it possibly is which is unlikely. I think what got me interested was that this Sherman bloke has good credentials and allegedly started out to disprove the whole thing and is now one of its main supporters. I wonder why he can't see the flaws in the mathematical statistical analyses or whatever it is they use? I'll check it out a bit longer. The supporters of the codes believe God placed this information in there for our time, when computers could unlock the information, thus demonstrating prior knowledge of events to occur and thereby providing 'proof' of God's authorship??
