We know very well how to be good people without resorting to delusion. Your religion and its concept of sin is absurd. Religion, if it had its way, would make this world an unbearable place in which to live due to its unhealthy obsession with sin and how others live.
Being good to one's fellow human beings should be all that matters. Humanity, feeling it, being a part of it, understanding it, is more important than seeking a false relationship with a being that does not exist, for claiming that a god, whose existence cannot even be properly supported in any capacity, is the answer merely alludes to not knowing or understanding the problem.
Religion, believing in that which cannot be proven to exist, is and always will be the problem. As a society that is evolving, advancing, we are finally realizing this more and more.
You, the theist, the harborer of delusion, shall eventually fade away to the point where your beliefs will be known and recognized for precisely what they are: mythology.
