Well that does not mean he always sucked, sounds to me he allowed his personal life to fuck up his stage act. But he did get way up there back in the 80s.
It's funny but I met the Ramones back in the late 80s backstage at the Bayou in DC. When I went backstage, I was thinking booze and chicks. Nope, none of that, soda and fruit and water and they talked about family and baseball cards.
I am sure he is still doing something and I would bet that venue was pissed at him and someone had a talk with him.
