Powerful males are polygamous, while weaker ones are monogamous. Females have a gestation cycle of 31 days on average, though it can range from 29-35 days. The females give birth in a burrow with 2-12 offspring. They are sexually mature of 2 months. One pair of mature rabbits can have 30-40 offspring a year.
Relationships with other animals:Birds of prey are the biggest predators to this species. Humans have made them pets, called them pest, and enjoyed them as food.
