Oh yes, fear of death is healthy depending. If you didn't fear death you wouldn't look both ways when crossing a busy street. But the comic book fear of religion of a super man and or a super villain is unhealthy. It basically treats you like a pawn in a bet. It condemns you at birth even before you make your first mistake.
I fear a long drawn out painful death. I fear not being around my family and friends. But I cant fear the nothingness after I die anymore than I had a fear of my non existence 4 billion years ago. It would be like fearing the after death of a tree. You can have a healthy fear of things that prevents harm to you, but it is silly to fear a natural process you cant avoid.
Unfortunately evolution's primary goal isn't fact finding, it's only goal is getting to reproduction. If a bad guess, a sugar pill creates that opportunity, in evolution, that false perception still works.
But death is as natural as birth, is as as natural as the seasons changing. There is nothing that you can do but delay it at best.
