Women can laugh about it too. Sometimes it's just impossible to not laugh during rape. People react differently from one another in similar circumstances. Their sex is mostly pointless in terms of what that reaction entails...
Though, the cultural expectation of each of the sexes certainly is different

Part of the point of the threat is to state that the actual execution is on the table. I pick up a gun and point it at your head, and tell you i'm gonna pop you if you don't do as I say... and you'll listen to me, won't you?
