I had an encounter with one on Adam Lee's Daylight Atheism blog. She bandied terms like "gender genocide" (referring to American society!) and got very angry when I pointed out that genocide has a specific meaning, and unless we're actively plotting as a society to kill women she was wrong.
It was my only contact with such a creature, and may that please remain the case, because it was like debating a theist, when the audience feels ashamed of acknowledging atheist points.
I still dislike the term "feminazi", though. It's an obvious appeal to emotion, designed to muddy the waters.
I used to belong to a feminist forum and for the most part I enjoyed my time there; however, it irked me that there were some posters(not all) who refused to acknowledge that traditional male/female roles hurt men also. The particular woman you spoke with sounded nutty. Using extreme, emotional laden terms only makes someone's cause seem less serious. People focus on the words like, genocide or nazism and no longer hear what the speaker is actually saying.
