Thinking about it that way, it does not matter at all what one's funeral is like, or what is done with the body. Obviously, the OP is concerned about this sort of thing now. And equally obviously, he won't when he is dead.
Basically, you seem to be saying that he shouldn't give a rat's ass what happens at his funeral, or even if there is one.
I was trying very hard to avoid saying that to him now. After he is dead, when his relatives totally disregard everything that he says he wants in his funeral, it will not matter to him. But now, he is free to imagine whatever he wishes about his funeral. You seem to want him to face reality about things that happen after he will be dead, when what he wants will be of no concern.
