the average atheist doesn't relate to life in terms of a personified God.
I think the rest depends on what experiences and biases they may have
run across with other people especially theists they don't understand.
If people forgive what they see, they don't have to adopt emotional biases against one group or another more than any other that is just as fallible and prone to abuse.
all collective organizations that get too top heavy end up prone to corruption of power and abuse of individuals without equal defense.
so this is true of human institutions in general.
I think any questions you have of why can't other people figure out
what you have learned is pretty average or typical of how people feel
when they can't understand the biases or behavior of others.
Welcome to humanity, I think we've all felt this way, in our own ways.
None of us is quite like anyone else, and we are going to feel left out of the loop
while others look content going round and round on a merry go round
we want nothing to do with. part of the price we pay for being self-aware.
