The problem is that you aren't looking at the word, but how it is applied in your world, by the people you personally know who identify by that word. The word means what it means, and no matter how many times you describe your particular flavor of Feminism™, your word does not cover many people who use the word "feminist" about themselves and do not mean what you want to force them to mean.
Just because people wrongly use the word, doesn't mean that the word becomes that. You can call yourself a feminist all you want, but that doesn't make you one.You can call yourself a billionaire as well, but it does nothing to alter the fact that you aren't. You keep telling me that 'my' definition of feminism is wrong, but where are you getting yours?
Do you know what "feminine" means? How about "-ism"?
As I've said, words mean what they mean, and not everyone uses the same definition as you. You can huff and puff about what you think is the "right" definition, but your billionaire example is full of shit. Billion is a number, and you either have it or you don't. Feminism is not numerical-- it's qualitative and subjective. You can keep thinking you're right, but reality pretty clearly indicates that there are plenty of females who call themselves feminists, and are not interested in seeing men as equals. It is not your place to define them, or to tell them how to define themselves.
The simple solution is not to bully everyone into using the same narrow definition that you do. The solution is simple communication. Ask people, "When you say you are feminist, what do you mean by that?"
