Really? Enough of you pious, holier-than-thou assholes sure ganged up on me as a kid trying to convince me that if I didn't drink their particular flavor of Kool-Aid I was gonna burn for eternity.
Please, spare me the "we don't gang up" bullshit.
The OP wasn't about your childhood so get off the soapbox and grow up already.

I know that normal, everyday Christians do not agree with some of the things said by the Christians on this forum. When someone says something repulsive and the members of their group are so determined to project a united front that they don't speak out, it hurts the image of that particular group. For groups that want to win converts, it goes against their evangelical goals if potential new members believe that everyone in that religion agrees with something horrible that another member said.
You seem to be saying that new converts know all there is about Christianity, they don't and neither do any of us here. We do the best we can, God gets His message across to those who are listening, He prepared the way long ago for everyone, as long as they listen to Him in the end. Some men might think they can save others or even get them close but, if I understand the scriptures correctly, we are to give our testimony for why we believe and God in the Trinity will do the rest. This is o be our wittness to those seeking.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
