Comparing god to a Narcissist.

A Narcissist does the sort of shit god does, only on a lesser scale. And both the narcissist and the xian god have punishments for those who don't comply. Let's compare the similarities between a narcissist and god:

I would argue that if you were a God, you'd have a right to be narcissistic.

1. Both have control issues:
A narcissist must remain in control of every situation at all times. He uses manipulation, word-salad and gas lighting to accomplish this. He uses fascinating stories to draw people into his circle of bullshit.

God is in control at all times. He created the world, he has the ability to destroy it.

The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: - Job 9:24

If this was true he wouldn't of given us free will. We ask the question of why evil exists, the truth is, if everyone loved their neighbor, evil wouldn't exist, If everyone had love for one another, starving kids wouldn't exist. You can clearly see that the problem lies not with God but with man.

2. Both have an identity crisis and must be put on a pedestal.

A narcissist has delusions of grandeur. Wants to be the center of attention and will throw a fit if he's not. If he is not getting everyone's attention, he will find a way to draw them in. It's usually with a grand (made up) life story. Once he sucks them in, it's hard to escape.

Your god has his minions believing that he is All Powerful, All knowing, The alpha and the omega. Is the center of the world. All must worship and believe in him. There is no other god. He demands sacrifices be made in his honor.

If you could create a universe, I'd put you on a pedestal too, because..I don't know...I owe my existence to you?. Also the sacrifices are for YOUR benefit, not his.

3. Both are abusive.

The narcissist will emotionally, verbally and mentally abuse. They may even throw in physical and/ or sexual abuse for kicks. They will covertly threaten their victim. They will insult their victim only to swoop in and appear to "rescue" the victim from such abuse when there are others present.

God makes sure he instills fear with his words. If you don't do His Will, he will send you to the pits of hell for all eternity. He believes in stoning women and he believes in slavery.

Strange how this "abusive" God let you get away with this post without being stuck down.
I realize you're new, but the slavery thing has been discussed to death.

4. Both are master manipulators.

The narcissist always has a plan, a motive. Uses lies and deceit against his victim. Tells people how awful the victim is to anyone willing to listen. Further victimizes the victim by appearing to be the victim himself! Uses circular arguments and word salad. Engages in mind fuckery. Uses friends of the victim as flying monkeys to convey passive-aggressive messages of fear and control to the victim. Uses others to spy on the victim.

God uses the bible to make people fear him. God uses prophets to spread his agenda of world domination and fear. God has people believing that they will go to hell if they do not have faith and believe in an entity that they cannot see or even have a cup of coffee and a conversation with.

Claiming people serve God because they are afraid of Hell is like saying people don't commit murder because they are afraid of the death penalty.

Either your a murder or your not, the penalty for murder doesn't factor in the decision.
You serve God out of love not fear. You cannot mentally conceive how horrific hell is. It makes no sense for you to fear something you have no concept for. A literal burning hell would be like Disneyland compared to what hell is actually like.
Remember hell was never intended for humans, it was made for Satan and his angels, so it is something that demons are terrified of.

Matthew 8
29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

Just like how you cannot conceive of how vast the universe is, you cannot conceive of horrific hell is. Neither can you conceive of how beautiful heaven is.
